Style Staple: Timberland Boots

So I’m back with another style staple, the hugely popular Timberland 6-inch boot in the wheat colour. I received these as a gift and I must say I really do like them. They are very sturdy and extremely well-made. As soon as you pick these you up, you know they will last you a long time. They are great because they are so versatile! They can be worn with so many different looks and can easily be dressed down for a casual outfit or dressed up for a more dressy look.

Timberland also say that the boots are infant waterproof so you don’t have to worry about these when it’s raining! I wear mine from time-to-time as I liked to mix up my outfits alongside my footwear so it gives the feeling of a new look. Be wary that Timberland’s are a slightly higher fitting when compared to a regular trainer size so dropping down about half a size should ensure that you have a pair of these that fit perfectly.

Above is an outfit that I would typically wear my Timberland’s with. A red and black plaid shirt, a white t-shirt underneath and any shade of blue jeans (I have shown a lighter blue above). This outfit will help you look effortlessly chic and will really make you stand out wherever you are.

There is one snag with these boots, the maintenance. Timberlands are made with a variation of leather known as nubuck. This is like leather but it has been rubbed on the outside to give the feeling of suede. This is a very delicate material and to make sure that you do maintain these properly you need to use the correct materials.

Above is the suede and nubuck kit that I bought from Footlocker recently. It was only £5.99 for the kit and I must say I was very impressed with it. It involves a “rubber” of some kind and a coarse brush. The way to clean your Timberlands is to first use the rubber and rub it on the soiled areas (not too much force though) and then brush along the nubuck with the brush in one direction to keep the material looking uniform all the way around.

If your looking for a solid pair of stylish and hard-wearing boots then these will really suit your needs! Check out my older posts to see the Timberlands in an outfit here. Outfit of the Day: All-Black Casual

So today was one was my rare casual days. Yesterday was a tough day so I just wanted to be comfortable and just pretty much less like my normal self. So I settled for a very simple look consisting of black jeans, a black and emerald green velvet-effect 3/4 sleeve t-shirt and my black All-Stars.

It was a very dressed-down look and not normally what I would wear whilst the sun was out. However, I still felt like I looked presentable anyway so I had a good time and enjoyed the rare nice weather here.

I went for a nice ice cream at a local place and sure enough it really did the trick. I enjoyed the day socialising and just having a good time. I felt very comfortable in my choice of outfit as it was just right. I paired it my Rayban’s and Skagen watch. I did have a pendant on earlier but took it off as I just felt there was too much going on, especially because I was just wearing the one layer that was a t-shirt.

All-in-all sometimes you’ll find that you dress according to how you’re feeling and that’s fine. It might just change your own style and you might start to wear pieces that you’d never normally rock. Details of all items featured below. Stay trendy and true to yourself!

Outfit of the Day: Black Leather Biker|All-Stars

Hi guys! Today’s post is an outfit of the day and I’m really psyched about my outfit today! I’ve recently been working very hard on my blog by spreading the word and currently we will see if it pays off! Back to today’s post, I am wearing black jeans, a long-line white t-shirt, a black leather jacket, and of course my most recent purchase, my black/white All-Stars.

I really like this outfit as it is effortlessly simple and is really easy to wear just for a casual outing. The leather jacket does add a bit of an edgy look to it which is what I want and the biker effect just adds to the whole “rock-look”. I did however not wear boots as I normally do and instead wore my converse, partly because they were black/white, partly because they are pretty new!

A long-line t-shirt was chosen as it fit this outfit best. It just looks right and it would probably look near enough the same with a regular t. Accessories of choice were my Skagen watch and a feather pendant. I kept it simple and sleek to match the outfit. To have too many accessories would just make the whole look very forced and I myself would feel conscious of the fact that I was wearing way too many items on my wrists.

The leather jacket is an essential in any well-dressed gentleman’s wardrobe and I did a post dedicated to them that was called Leather Jackets: A Style Staple. In this post, I showed the various different colours and types of leather jackets I owned and why I bought each one.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. A few more outfit of the day posts should be coming soon! Links to all products featured will be included below. Stay trendy and true to yourself!
