Making An Impression With A Fragrance: How Important Is It & New Purchase

Fragrance. Perfume. Scent. Call it what you may, but the question is, how important is it to smell good? As you can tell, I am an avid fragrance fanatic and I just can’t seem to stop finding exciting new fragrances.

Personally, I think a quality scent can leave a lasting impression wherever you go to whoever you meet. This is maybe the reason why I will always be tempted to purchase a bottle of perfume that will leave a different impression.

When you get ready in the morning, with an outfit that you’ve chosen you will probably accessorise with a few simple accessories such as a watch and a ring for example. A perfume could be classed as an accessory that you can’t see, but will complete your outfit and really make you feel like a million dollars.

However, choosing the right type of scent for you is a case of trial and error. Speaking from a guy’s perspective, men will usually pick something quite strong and sometimes spicy. On the other hand, a women may opt for something that is sweeter or have a flowery base to it.

Personally, I like to mix I up daily, some days I may want something that has oud as a basenote, for example Tom Ford’s Oud Wood or Christian Dior’s Oud Ispahan. On other days I may want something that smells maybe less musky and more fresh, for example Christian Dior’s Sauvage.

It all depends on personal preference, and I would encourage a person to try something new. Switch it up and go for something against your usual, you never know you may like it!

My newest fragrance that I got was Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. Originally made for females I think the spicy notes make it one that is definitely unisex and can be worn by all. Another reason I opted for this was because I wanted something different instead of my oud-based scents. It really is an amazing product and will definitely leave a lasting impression.
Remember to go for something different next time you’re shopping for a fragrance and 9 times out of 10 you will love it. Check out my social media for some cool snaps and remember to stay trendy and true to yourself.

Fragrance Review: Armani Code Profumo

Finally, back at it again with another fragrance review. These types of post will most likely come at a similar time either when I am updating my personal collection or just replenishing it.

Today I’ll be looking at my newest addition to my fragrance collection, Armani Code Profumo. This is a the latest release by Armani for the men’s market and I bought it as I had the original Armani Code before.

This perfume consists of basenotes of amber, leather and tonka beans making it an instant hit for myself as I love very strong scents. The leather is also one of the reasons why the fragrance has good longevity and projection. Heart notes include; lavender, citrus blossom and nutmeg, giving it a very aromatic and spicy finish. Lastly, top notes consist of; mandarin, green apple and cardamom. The cardamom is another note that adds to the spicy side of this scent.

This type of scent would typically be worn in the evening time in Autumn, however it can be suitable for day-to-day use too. I’ll be using this to mix-up my daily scent as I love to change up the types of fragrance I opt for.

Since it is part of Armani’s Profumo edition, it is only available in EDP (Eau De Parfum) which is a concentrated type and much longer lasting than EDT.

I opted for the 30ml initially just to test the fragrance out and to see if it was in the line of something that I would wear. I do this with most fragrances I buy and if I do happen to like it then my next purchase would simply be a bigger bottle size in the same scent.

I hope you enjoyed this fragrance review and I plan to post regularly now as I have finally finished my exams.  Check out my social media and keep up to date with what I am doing throughout the day. Stay trendy and true to yourself!

Fragrance Review: Sauvage by Christian Dior

Morning guys! Today I will be looking at the new fragrance by Christian Dior, Sauvage. Many of you will have already seen this with Johnny Depp being the face of the brand. I received this as a gift and I must say I was very surprised as to the quality of the scent. Top notes include; Bergamot, Ambroxan, Geranium and Pepper. Heart notes include; Lavender, Vetiver and Patchouli. This can easily be classed as a masculine fragrance due to the citrus and woods. A key point about Sauvage is the longevity and projectivity, both being extremely impressive for the price bracket it is placed in. You can purchase this yourself from Boots at the moment for only £60.30 (normally £67.00!). I definitely class this one of the better scents in my ever-growing collection with it being suitable for any time of the day, be sure to sample this for yourselves as I’m quite sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
